About Me
Hi,
My name is Ken.
I’ll never forget the first time I tasted coffee. I was about 12 years old and was having breakfast with my parents. “Could I have some coffee,” I asked. “Sure,” my dad said, “but you’re going to hate it.”
Well, I loved it at first taste.
I’m 40 now and I still love coffee.
I’ve spent years, and I mean years, trying to brew that “perfect” cup of coffee. I’ve learned that it takes four things to get that perfect cup. You need fresh, clean water, great coffee that’s ground to the right consistency and a top-quality coffee maker.
I tend to stick with good, fresh water and my favorite Indonesian coffee. Beyond that, I’ve spent years experimenting with different coffeemakers. I have also been on many different forums devoted to coffee, as well as blogs and message boards.
What I have learned about best coffee
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that it’s a mistake to buy a cheap coffeemaker. There are a lot of ads out there claiming that these inexpensive coffeemakers can produce delicious-tasting coffee but it’s just not the same as coffee you get from a top-quality coffee maker. For one thing, better quality coffeemakers come with charcoal water filters to make sure that chlorine and other noxious chemicals are filtered out so your water is clean and fresh. Secondly, a good-quality coffeemaker will have a spray head capable of spreading the water over all the coffee and it will be capable of brewing one cup of coffee that’s just as good and piping hot as if you had brewed all 10 or 12 cups.
I know there are many others like me who are in search of that elusive, “perfect” cup of coffee so I decided to create this website and share what I have learned over the years about the best coffee
makers. I hope that the information you find here will help you choose the coffeemaker that’s exactly right for you and that will provide your best tasting coffee ever
I would also love to hear what you have learned about great coffee making so that I can add this information to my site. That way, it won’t be just my opinion.
Here’s to your best cup of coffee ever.
Ken
