The DC-2600 has a pause function so that if you want a cup of coffee in a hurry, all you have to do is remove the glass carafe, pour yourself a cup, replace the carafe and it will start brewing again.

The sturdy, glass carafe has measuring marks so that you can add just the amount of water you want from 2 to 14 cups. There is an easy-view, water-level window so all you have to do is pour in water until you reach the number of cups you want to brew. There is also a strength selector that lets you choose whether you want regular or bold coffee.

On those occasions when you don’t want to brew all 14 cups, there is a one-to-four cups button that will heat the water to be just as hot as if you had brewed a full pot.

The Cuisinart DCC-2600 Brew Central coffeemaker features a self-clean setting that lets you know when it’s time to clean the unit and remove any calcification that has built up the unit’s reservoir.

The unit’s heater plate can be adjusted so that you can keep your coffee at a desired temperature. In addition, there is a filter basket that accommodates a #4 paper filter or a permanent filter and an auto shutoff function that will turn the coffee maker all off after 0 to 4 hours.

The good points of the Cuisinart DCC-2600 coffeemaker is its large capacity, it’s programmability, its strength it’s settings for one to four cups and the fact that it will brew at the rate of about 1 minutes per cup (five ounces). In terms of its cons, this coffeemaker has been known to eventually leak water and programming the delay setting on the clock can be complicated. In addition, some users have said that its self-cleaning signal doesn’t work in some cases.
